5 Guilty pleasures:

1) I'll agree with K8 on this one. MacGyver and Quantum Leap. I especially liked the two-hour pilot of MacGyver, where Mac improvises something approximately every 10 seconds.

Barbara: Darn! My pencil just broke.

Mac: Okay! I'll just mill a point back on it using the spinning tailrotor shaft on this helicopter over here....

Barbara: No, really, I'll just use the pencil sharpener.

2) Max Headroom. "Remember how we said there was no future? Well, this is it." My dad and I watched the first episode together, and he said, "It's great, but it won't last more than a season. Nobody is gonna understand it."

3) Early - '70s rock groups. BTO, BST, Three Dog Night, Chicago, Canned Heat, etc - if you can strip away 20 years of snarky, ironic criticism and take things for what they are.

4) An ice-cold can of Fresca.

5) Logan's Run.
